    讲座内容:

    On all length scales, a deformation microstructure is subdivided by dislocation boundaries and high angle boundaries with spacings which decrease with increasing stress and strain. The structure refines continuously without saturation, and recent experiments using deformation by sliding have confirmed the importance of dislocation-based plasticity to a limit of 5 nanometers between deformation-induced boundaries. This finding suggests an extrapolation of stress-structure relationships established at coarser length scales to the nanometer regime. Such an extrapolation is presented for pearlitic steel cold drawn to high strain reaching a structural scale of the order of 10 nanometers. The flow stress of the wire is about 6GPa, an extraordinarily high strength of an engineering material. Based on an electron microscopic characterization, the strengthening mechanism being the cause of the high strength is discussed also with a view to a further strength increase.

    Dr. Hansen is a foreign member of US National Academy of Engineering, foreign honorary member of American Academy of Arts and Science, member of Academia Europaea, member of the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences, fellow of the Institute of Materials of United Kingdom, honorary member of Metallurgical Society of France, honorary member of The Japanese Institute of Metals, Einstein professorship of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), honorary professor at Chongqing University China, guest professor at Harbin Institute of Technology China. He got Dr. Techn. from Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in 1971. He was awarded Danish Knighthood, Poul Bergs?e Medal by Danish Metallurgical Society, Robert Franklin Mehl Award by TMS US, Einstein Professorship Awarded by the CAS, DTU Emeritus.

    He served as a Member of Science’s Board of Reviewing Editors from 2007 to 2010, Vice Chairman of Danish Metallurgical Society 1966-1972, Vice Chairman of COST – Metallurgy 1970-1971, Member of the Halden Programme Group (OECD) 1968-1992, Member of the General Advisory Committee (EURATOM) 1979-1982, Member of the Advisory Group for Energy Materials (Danish Ministry of Energy) 1980-1999, Member of Management Committee for High Temperature Materials (COST) 1982-1997, Member of the Fusion Technology Steering Committee (EU) 1985-1999, Member of the Advisory Group for a national programme on Materials Research and Technology (Danish Ministry of Industry) 1986-1987, Member of the Steering Committee for the Danish Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Programme (Danish Ministry of Energy) 1990-2000, Member of COST TC Materials 1997-2005, Member of EFDA Technology Work Programme 2000 1999-2000. He is a world leader in the field of metallic materials. He has done pioneer work on plastic deformation of metals, mechanical properties of metallic materials, mechanical behaviour of nano-structured metallic materials. He has published more than 500 journal papers.
